World's Highest Cricket Ground
Indians have a reason to feel proud when it comes to cricket, not only for have
such a fabulous cricket team but also India having world's highest Cricket, making
its place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Dharamsala - the name of world's highest cricket ground is located
in Chail, Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at a level of 2,144 m high above the
sea level (somewhere 7000 feet above from the sea level).
Dharamsala has been constructed by Maharaja of Patiala Bhupinder Singh in 1893 to
play cricket with his British friends. This ground is under the possession of Indian
army at this point. Polo is also being played on this ground. It is surrounded with
tall huge pine and deodar trees that give it an authentic and beautiful look.
In a corner of this ground, the Military school has built a tree house that raises
the beauty of this place. Nowadays, it has become an attraction of tourists.
To reach the place, tourists can reach the place by airways, by railways or by roadways.
It is picturesque hill station with a highest cricket ground.
